Back in the Saddle (metaphorically because I’m allergic to horses)

Paralyzing fear. Perhaps worse than writer’s block. I had finished the initial draft of Will From Ashes. But it has come out much shorter than I expected. Ok, maybe I expected it but I had hoped that wouldn’t happen. However, when you take your outline and almost cut it in half because you have some insane idea about endings, on some level, you know that is going to affect your word count. So I have not looked at it in weeks out of fear of the unknown. I had no idea what I was going to do! I still don’t. BUT I’m pushing forward with editing anyway. It may turn out to be shorter than I had hoped but one-hundred and fifty pages is still no small feat. The good news though, going back over the first scene helped to refine it. Much better beginning.

I plan on having some friends read it and tell me what they think. Times like this make me wish I had a writer’s group that could help me. Good thing I have tons of writer “friends on Facebook”. #smileyface

Let the adventure continue!!

This is the Novel Mage saying, *POOF*
