More to life than this?

So I’ve read several successful author’s advice about how they became successful.  One of those concerned starting a blog.  Ok, I’ve done that.  Then they said talk about anything and everything on your blog, not just writing.  WHAT?!  Hmm.  It then occurred to me that I’m now pointing to this blog as the main source of information about me as an author and my book.  So maybe I should get people to like me as a human too.  Weird.

The reason my writing has slowed is because I have a yard that needed serious work this summer.  And a basement that got “finished” in spring.  I know my neighbors have been quietly talking behind my back about the weed farms that were around my trees, my “flower beds” and some areas in our backyard that we don’t know exactly what we are doing with yet.  My house sits on a corner so my backyard is visible to everyone and their dog.  I know due to the doggie “treats” left behind occasionally.  The good news is my kids have jumped in to help with only mild grumbling.  Who grumbles all depends on the day.  To keep things safe for my kids and family, I will be referring to my kids as Gretel, Hansel, Bug, and Things 1 and 2.  Speculate what you will. 🙂

Hopefully, with cold weather will come more writing inspiration.  Or word vomit.  Either one at this point would be good.  Off to the races!

This is the Novel Mage saying, *POOF*
