Returning

A stone rolled away revealing eternity.

Everlasting life and joy

spilled forth from a tomb

to engulf the world.

Death turned from a wall

to an open doorway

and windows shattered

under the weight of the blessing.

Eternal Life ascended to heaven

heralding my return

though I still had not left.

The heavens rejoiced

and I wept.

I can’t wait to go home again.
